PEEK™ CC Monitor is designed with privacy-first principles. Our application monitors your Claude Code & Codex usage locally on your device without transmitting any personal data to external servers.
Privacy Commitment
Zero Data Transmission: All monitoring data stays on your local machine. We do not collect, store, or transmit any of your personal information, code, or usage patterns to remote servers.
This privacy policy explains our practices regarding data handling, your rights, and how we protect your information while using PEEK™ CC Monitor.
Data Collection
Local Data Processing
PEEK™ CC Monitor processes the following information locally on your device:
- Token Usage Statistics: Tracks API call tokens for cost estimation
- Session Activity: Monitors Claude Code & Codex status (thinking, working, finished)
- File Activity: Records file paths and modification timestamps in your project
- Application Preferences: Stores your widget position, opacity, and other settings
- Project Information: Detects and remembers your project root directory
What We Don't Collect
- Your actual code content or file contents
- Personal identification information
- Claude Code & Codex conversations or prompts
- Network traffic or browsing data
- System information beyond what's necessary for operation
- Usage analytics or telemetry data
How We Use Your Data
All data processing occurs locally on your device for the following purposes:
- Real-time Monitoring: Display current Claude Code & Codex activity status
- Token Tracking: Provide accurate usage statistics and cost estimates
- File Monitoring: Show recent file changes in your project
- Session Management: Maintain monitoring state across application restarts
- User Experience: Remember your preferences and settings
Local Processing
All data analysis, processing, and storage happens exclusively on your local machine. No data leaves your device through our application.
Data Storage & Security
Local Storage
Data is stored locally in the following locations:
- Application Data: Stored in your system's standard application data directory
- Configuration Files: User preferences saved in JSON format
- Temporary Files: Session data cleared when application closes
- Cache: Recent activity logs for performance optimization
Security Measures
- No network connections for data transmission
- Standard file system permissions protection
- No plaintext storage of sensitive information
- Regular cleanup of temporary files
- Minimal data retention (only what's necessary for functionality)
Data Retention
We retain local data only as long as necessary for the application to function properly. You can clear all data by uninstalling the application or using the built-in data clearing feature.
Third Party Services
PEEK™ CC Monitor interacts with the following services:
Claude Code & Codex API
- Monitors API calls made by Claude Code & Codex (read-only)
- Does not intercept or modify API communications
- Does not access API keys or authentication tokens
- Only observes public activity indicators
File System
- Monitors file changes in your specified project directory
- Reads file metadata (paths, timestamps) but not content
- Requires appropriate file system permissions
No External Communications
Our application does not communicate with any external servers, analytics services, or third-party APIs beyond monitoring local Claude Code & Codex activity.
Your Rights
Since all data is processed locally, you have complete control:
- Data Access: All your data is accessible in the application's data directory
- Data Portability: Export your settings and statistics at any time
- Data Deletion: Remove all data by uninstalling the application
- Data Modification: Change or delete specific data through the application interface
- Monitoring Control: Enable or disable any monitoring features
- Transparency: View all collected data through the application's interface

To exercise any of these rights:
- Use the application's built-in data management features
- Access your local data directory directly
- Contact our support team for assistance
- Uninstall the application to remove all data
Policy Updates
